Dollar Tree Haul

Yes, so I know that you are all thinking "how do you buy books from the dollar store?".  Well I didn't know either but they do have a decent selection of books.

Mind Storm by K.M. Ruiz

This book is a dystopian and it takes place 250 years after a nuclear war.  Everyone is fighting over earth and the wealthy are planning to travel to another planet.  But there is a new kind of humans that have that have made slaves by there rulers.  There is one slave Threnody Corwin who can channel electricity through anything she touches.  As a slave, she is recruited by an unknown enemy who just happens to be earths must powerful human family.  Then there is Lucas Serca who is far from human and intends to make Threnody and others like her meet there destiny.

The Secret Speech by Tom Rob Smith

This book takes place after Stalin is dead and the Soviet regime is falling apart, which leaves behind the police being the most criminals of all.  The main character is a former police officer Leo Demidov who is trying to forget his past.  He is also trying to make a life for his wife, Raisa, and their two  adopted daughters.

 Max Cassidy: Escape from Shadow Island

The main character is an escape artist who can get out of handcuffs, chains, etc.  He has learned this from his father who was murdered two years ago and his mother went to jail for the crime.  Then this strange man talks to him and said that his dad is alive and his mother is innocent. 

Heaven's Shadows by David S. Goyer & Michael Cassutt

There is an earth-like object, Keanu, heading towards earth, therefor earth sends two spaceships two investigate.  When they arrive, they find out that it is not just a piece of rock but has been sent earth for a reason.  There is an entirely different race on there that is trying to communicate with us. 

Book Fair Haul

So my brother's school had a book fair last week.  It was buy one get one free so since I thought that it was a good deal, I went to go pick some up.  I was a bit disappointed on the selection that they had because in past years that had wide variety of books.  This is year I only bought two witch was still worth the trip.

The Land of Stories

The author of this book is Chris Colfer, who happens to buy the actor who plays Kurt on the show Glee.  In reality that was the original reason on why I picked up the book in the first place.  From the back cover I know that the story is about two children who somehow wind up in the universe that is in the book that they are reading.  Also this book is the first book of a series.

Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children

The author of this book is Ransom Riggs.  I have heard of this book before but just never had any interest in reading it.  At the book fair, my mom actually  showed me this book and said that it would be a good book to read.  All the only thing that I know about the book is that it is about a sixteen year-old boy who goes into a abandoned house that used to house kids with special powers or abilities and the boy sees some strange things when he goes into this house.

Yes... I know I'm like the only one who hasn't read these books yet.  I haven't even seen the movies either.  I've heard that the book is way better then the movie witch is a shocker, I know.  I have no idea what this book is about besides what is on the back cover.  So if you would like to comment what the book is about feel free.

City of Orphans

I've recently rediscovered this book in the back of my closet.  I know that I started to read it but I guess I just never finished it.  It's about New York in the late 1800's with all the immigrants coming to America for the first time.  The main character that is a newspaper boy that has neighbors that don't speak English and a sister who is in jail because she stole a expensive watch from her job.  It's overall a children's book but a good book nonetheless.

Eleanor and Park

I've recently just got this book so I'e never really heard anything about it.  I know that is about a love story about two kids in high school that is unlike the mainstream relationships.  I think that it is going to be a lovely book to read.

It's Kind Of A Funny Story

I've already read this book so I can tell you that it is worth the read.  This boy, Craig, is a bit depressed to the point of planning to sneak out at night and jump of the Brooklyn Bridge.  Thankfully he does not, and checks himself into a  psychiatric hospital.  During his time there, he meets a wide variety of people with different reasons why they're in there and even gets himself a girlfriend along the way.

An Abundance Of Katherines

I am currently reading this book and from what I can tell it is leading up to my expectations of being a great book.  This guy, Colin, has dated 19 Kathrines.  After the breakup of the 19th Kathrine him and his friend take a road trip, going nowhere in particular, just to get his  mind of things.

Now I'll Tell You Everything

Going along with my last 'What I'm I Reading' post, I'm on the last book of the Alice series.  This book tells you every major thing that happened throughout out Alice's life in college and after.  Like, you find out who she marries, what her kids are like, and a whole bunch of exciting things.  After I finish this book I'm looking forward to read some of the novels I've had but not read yet.

Snow!!!... yet again

So I wake up one morning and look at this!!!!!  Yeah Spring Break is almost coming up, so I guess it's going to be "Winter Break II" hahaha... yeah I'm not funny sorry

What Am I Reading?

Alice on Board

"Alice on Board" is part of a book series with 27 books. This is the second to last in the series.  I'd consider it more mature series towards the end but if you want a series with drama and a bit of romance in it I recommend it to you.

Snow!!!!!

Ohh just a look outside my window today.   Yeah I've got 2 'cold' days ahead of me off of school.  

My only friends...
I got the whale in which I call whaley(not a real word) at sea world when  I was like 6.  I got the bunny who I call bunny when I was born.  Is it weird that I still have stuffed animals or no?

Look what I got!!! There is this peachy color sweatshirt.  I've got a white sweater that has blue strips on the bottom.  I also got some blue jeggings as well.   

Went shopping today!! I just love flannel pajama bottoms!(the last two aren't flannel haha).  I bought the blue plaid and red plaid from Kohls.  I bought the pastel plaid and the dog print from Shop-Ko.  They all were in the 7-10$ range if you were interested in them.

                                                               

So exited to start reading these again! I started to read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone back when I was 9 years old and I barely remember what the difference was between the book and movie! Also if you get all of the books from this collection it makes a picture of the castle on the binding. I bought these from Barnes and Nobles if you would like to purchase them.
